The ionode4 is nnounce’s audio integration device. It connects an airport’s existing audio infrastructure to the network, so you can bring current amplifiers, speakers, and analog equipment onto the platform instead of replacing them. It is built for situations where security, safety, and reliability matter, with four audio inputs, four audio outputs, and four control inputs and outputs.
Key benefits:
- Brings your existing audio and PA equipment onto the network, so you add automation without a rip and replace
- Four audio inputs with 24V phantom power, four outputs, and four control inputs and outputs for integration and control
- Wire two units in parallel for high availability, with an MTBF above 150,000 hours
- Powerful built-in DSP, plus a hardware neural engine for advanced audio applications such as speech-to-text and gunshot detection
- Network audio over AES67, RTP, and VoIP, with optional AES256 encryption
- Q-SYS library verified and Bosch PRAESENSA compatible, and cloud-connected to Simpleway CX out of the box
How it works:
The ionode4 sits between your existing audio equipment and the nnounce network. Its four balanced inputs and outputs carry audio in and out, the control inputs and outputs handle dry-contact integration with other systems, and the whole device runs on the nnounce secure and scalable platform. That lets an airport keep the amplifiers, speakers, and cabling it already owns while gaining networked control, automation, and Airport CX integration on top.
It is built for reliability. Audio inputs and outputs can be wired to a standby unit in redundant configuration, two devices can run in parallel for high availability, and the platform is rated for an MTBF above 150,000 hours with a mean time to repair under four hours. Built-in signal processing exceeds what a dedicated processor would offer, and the hardware neural engine supports advanced audio applications. Secure boot, encrypted firmware, and tamper sensing protect the device, and it powers over PoE, 12V DC, or 5V DC in a compact half-rack unit.
