controlnode: Versatile and customizable control panel

The nnounce controlnode is a wall-mounted control panel for audio zones and other systems. It is a simple, cost-effective way to put control on the wall where staff need it, for selecting a zone, choosing a preset, or adjusting volume, without a touchscreen or a full paging station. It is powered over a single Ethernet cable and integrates with the Q-SYS ecosystem.

How it works:

The controlnode is a main unit paired with a faceplate, and you choose the faceplate for the job. The 3-Button faceplate gives three programmable buttons for zone selection and presets. The Encoder faceplate gives a rotary encoder with a pushbutton, typically for volume, with a 9-segment LED ladder showing the level. Both are available now, with more faceplate types to come, and the modular design means you can mix and match units to build the control panel a location needs.

Installation is straightforward. The panel is powered over Ethernet, so a single cable handles both power and communication, and up to four control units can be daisy-chained from one connection, which keeps wiring simple and the solution easy to scale. It uses standard IP communication over Ethernet for reliable performance and fits standard Decora faceplates, so it blends cleanly into a wall in a control room, an operations area, or any spot where staff need direct control of a zone.
