Designed to meet the needs of a nonstop airport environment, the robust and durable airport baggage (AB) range has been developed to offer longevity and reliability for up to 20 years. Torsion bar suspension is fitted as standard, which further extends the working life of the equipment. This delivers a ride quality 50% quieter than any other which reduces the noise pollution in the apron environment.
Both the AB502 and AB501 feature our Open Deck Design, and as standard include open front and rear panels and a weatherproof cover. By including a single roof bar, the AB502 provides greater access to the unload and reload area.
Both models are manufactured from high grade pressed steel fully galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 specification, providing a strong yet lightweight build. The pivoting tow bar houses a standard 50mm diameter towing eye, and the rear chassis member incorporates a forged or fabricated steel towing jaw with a permanently retained spring-loaded pin assembly to ensure security of the cargo.
The front park brake facility is operated through the tow bar in its stored (raised) position and released when the tow bar is lowered. A positive foot pedal also offers quick release of the tow bar park brake.

The Viking tapered aluminium chequer plate decking increases retention of the cargo at high speeds whilst also allowing for rainwater drainage.
Both baggage trailers are available with an anti step over barrier as an optional extra.
