IDO Security, the developer of the MagShoe shoe scanning device, has been awarded a contract by the Austrian Airport Authority to supply multiple MagShoe units to Vienna International Airport.
Dani Werber, IDO Security’s international sales manager, commented, “We are very pleased to have won this tender together with our local partner, EAS Envimet m. b. H. in one of our key target markets. This installation comes after a long period in which the MagShoe was tested and evaluated by the Authorities so the positive results are a great boost of confidence in our technology and the operative advantages it offers an airport as busy as Vienna Airport.
“We are capitalising on our positive momentum from a great first half of the year, and making an aggressive marketing campaign now across four continents, through pilot programmes, participation in trade shows and by enlisting new distributors to further extend our global sales network.”
Vienna International Airport is one of the primary hub airports for central Europe. Over 21.1 million passengers passed through the airport in 2011, flying to more than 240 destinations, 40 of which are located in Eastern Europe.
