Technical glitch at Frankfurt airport hits flights
The airport, one of Europe's busiest with about 500,000 traffic movements per year, was out of service from 6:35 a.m. to 7:25 a.m. because weather data transmissions to the control tower broke down, a spokesman for air traffic control said.
The airport was shrouded by fog and the control tower had no access to weather data, forcing the cancellation of all flights.
