SWISS has unveiled a new 650m2 Lounge D for premium customers using the non-Schengen zone of Zurich Airport’s new Dock B and a new bus service from the aircraft for business class customers whose flights are not assigned a dock stand.

The company will also be extending its corporate identity at Zurich Airport by adopting the new SWISS logo in all prominent locations.

SWISS Miles & More status members who remain in the non-Schengen zone of the new Dock B once they have negotiated the centralised security check can take advantage of the new Lounge D situated just beyond the passport check for non-Schengen departing travellers. The lounge offers visitors ample opportunity to work or rest and its Vitra designer armchairs, Jurassic limestone walls and generously sized windows looking out over the apron area all help to create a pleasant and relaxing ambience.

The lounge is divided into two sections – one for Senators and Star Gold card holders, and the other for business class travellers and Miles & More frequent travellers. Each section is provided with a separate working zone featuring free wireless LAN, a spacious bistro area (with buffet) and an extensive range of newspapers and magazines.

The new bus service for SWISS Business passengers arriving in Zurich during peak hours whose flight still has to be handled at a “remote” stand away from the airport docks will carry them quickly and promptly to the terminal building. As well as using the airport’s regular airside passenger buses, the new service is being provided with two new 12-seat Mercedes Sprinters that have been specially fitted out in the SWISS design.
