Valencia Airport has awarded SSP an eight year, €7.5 million (US$9.9 million) to operate three new food outlets at its new terminal extension.
The company will operate a Café & Té in the arrivals hall, a Burger King in the airside area and a Caffè Ritazza in the check-in hall of the terminal, which opens this summer.
Blanca Ripoll, managing director of SSP in Spain, said, “This latest win is the last of the four renewals we have been negotiating, and after being successful at Ibiza, Gran Canaria and Tenerife South we’re delighted to have also won here.
“Having operated here for over 22 years, we have considerable experience of meeting the needs of the traveller in Spain. Winning this new business underscores our credentials as true experts in the Spanish market.”
SSP has operated at Valencia for more than nine years, and the new venture will employ 50 people.
