Frankfurt Airport has been hailed by its own passengers for its quality of customer service.

TÜV SÜD, Germany’s leading technical testing agency, found passengers were especially pleased with short waiting times, the friendliness of  employees and the cleanliness of the terminals.

Conducted in 2012, the survey involved questioning more than 20,000 passengers.

Travellers are regularly surveyed to find out how satisfied they are.

Each year an external agency interviews passengers in the terminals just before they board their flights.

The survey findings help Frankfurt Airport learn about passengers’ wishes, identify any weaknesses, and take steps to raise the standard of passenger services further.

The awarding of the TÜV quality seal confirms the success of the airport’s “Great to have you here!” service program, which is implementing a wide range of improvements to make it even easier and more pleasant to depart, transfer, and arrive at Germany’s largest aviation hub.

In 2012, Frankfurt Airport welcomed more than 57 million passengers.
