London Southend Airport’s €12 million expansion is set to be complete six months from now.

Up to 300 new jobs could come to the airport, according to reports.

Work on the expansion began in January and the first phase of the project is now close to completion.

The new arrivals area is due to open on Monday, June 17.

The airport believes it will be handling around two million passengers a year by 2020.
