ADB will supply specialised in-terminal requirements including the baggage handling system, passenger screening and security system, substations, transformers and switchgear to the airports.

NACL, a wholly owned government company provides airport facilities including ground handling at four international airports in Zambia namely, Lusaka, Livingstone, Ndola and Mfuwe.

Prince Chintimbwe, director airport services of NACL, says: “In addition to the fact that we have to standardise our processes and approach, technical specifications, training and after sales service at our airports, we were very happy with the consistent level of quality and support offered by ADB.

“In the past too the company has provided us well designed and executed projects that realise a quick return on investment (ROI) and guarantee equipment lifecycle costs.”
