Paris airport operator, Aéroports de Paris (ADP), today revealed that 2013 was a record year for passenger numbers.

For the first time more than 90 million passengers passed through Paris CDG and Orly, which between them handled 90.3 million people.

The figure was up 1.7% compared to the previous year of 88.8 million passengers.

Paris-CDG welcomed 62.0 million passengers up 0.7% on 2012 and Paris Orly 28.3 million passengers up 3.8%.

And passenger traffic at TAV Airports, which is 38% owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 16.7% to 83,638,023.

Istanbul Atatürk welcomed 51,320,875, up 13.8% while Ankara Esenboga handled 10,928,403 a rise of 17.9%.
