A new airline will fly from Chopin Airport starting in June 2012, offering services from Iceland to Poland.
 
WOW Air, a new Icelandic air carrier, will operate flights connecting Reykjavik with 12 European destinations, including Alicante, Basel, Berlin, Cologne, Copenhagen, London Stansted, Lyon, Paris, Stuttgart and Zurich.
In Poland, WOW Air will fly to Warsaw and Kraków. The airline’s inaugural flight from Chopin Airport will take place on 11 June. Services will run twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tickets are already available through the airline’s booking system.
 
The first plane from Kraków to Iceland will take off on 12 June. Flights will be operated once a week, on Tuesdays, using Airbus A320s.
 
Currently, direct flights from Poland to Iceland are offered by Iceland Express (Warsaw-Reykjavik, once a week).
