Bvlgari to open at Sydney Airport in Australian airport first

Bvlgari will join Sydney Airport’s T1 International luxury precinct in an Australian airport first where customers will enjoy a diverse collection of the brand’s most iconic jewellery collections as well as other beautiful jewels and accessories, handbags, leather goods, watches and eyewear

In an Australian airport first, Sydney Airport has announced that luxury Italian jeweller Bvlgari will join the airport’s suite of global designer brands at the T1 International terminal.

Founded in Rome in 1884, Bvlgari is one of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands drawing on 2,700 years of Roman history to influence the creative process. Immediately recognisable, each Bvlgari piece is designed to evoke a sense of the city, showcasing exquisite craftmanship to deliver a truly unique creation.

Set within the luxury precinct, the new store will showcase the brand’s most iconic jewellery collections such as Serpenti and B.Zero1 amongst other beautiful jewels and accessories, as well as leather handbags, small leather items, scarves, eyewear and watches.

Bvlgari will join Sydney Airport’s stunning line-up of luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Hermes, Gucci, Rolex, Burberry, Max Mara, Michael Kors, TUMI, Emporio Armarni, Coach and Hugo BOSS.

Architecturally, the opulent store interior will feature stunning marble columns, a rich walnut parquet flooring and Murano crystal chandeliers – transporting customers to the streets of ancient Rome and the famous Via Condotti. Celebrating Italian designers of the 50s and 60s, the space will also house furniture carefully selected to showcase the Bvlgari creative spirit, where tradition meets innovation.

Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams said that welcoming Bvlgari to the luxury fashion precinct reinforces Sydney Airport’s focus on continually evolving the retail offer, seeking new concepts and brands that propel our one-of-a-kind shopping experience with the added benefit of tax-free prices.

“We’re thrilled to announce Bvlgari will soon open at T1. The brand is exceptional in terms of luxury and their unique product creativity and ability to develop collections that have strong appeal across a range of customer demographics means it’s the perfect fit for our diverse T1 passenger mix,” Mr Williams said.

Bvlgari South Asian Operations Managing Director Jenny Cheah said that the unveiling of Bvlgari at Sydney Airport reinforces the strong market potential in luxury retailing.

“The new Bvlgari boutique to open at Sydney Airport marks our seventh store open in Australia and further supports the markets potential in luxury retailing. Similar to our recently refurbished Castlereagh Street flagship, the boutique at T1 will express the new design concept executed by Peter Marino who has reimagined some of the most iconic Bvlgari boutiques around the world,” she said.

“The new boutique at Sydney Airport will grant travellers the opportunity to shop Bvlgari at its only airport location in Australia.”

Bvlgari will open in Q4 2018 at Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal, located after customs.
