The Organizing Committee of Ground Handling Russia & CIS, the 6th international conference and exhibition is glad to announce that John Hamshare, Airside Policy and Standards Manager, London Heathrow Airport will present the ‘Aircraft and Runway De-Icing/ Anti-Icing Technology’ session. Mr. Hamshare will speak on a co-ordinated approach to winter events at Heathrow, key points for the presentation include:
- The structure of winter response teams & pre-winter training;
- The size, complexity and congestion of the airport;
- The fleet of vehicles at the disposal;
- The timeline for activating the winter response teams based upon met office forecasts;
- The mix of airport workers and contracted workers;
- A live demonstration of the A-CDM portal and situational awareness map (subject to internet access);
- A short animation showing the taxiway and runway teams’ pre-determined routes;
- An explanation of the stand clearance methodology, stand RAG status and hand-back procedure.
Ground Handling Russia & CIS, the 6th international conference and exhibition, will be held on September 17th-18th at Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre, Moscow, Russia.
