The world’s most technologically advanced aircraft, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, will be on display at Chopin Airport. It will be one of the first public presentations of this plane in Europe.

The Dreamliner will arrive in Warsaw on Friday, June 24th, coming directly from an air show in Le Bourget near Paris.

“The presentation of the Dreamliner in Warsaw is a remarkable event, both for our company and for the whole aviation business in Poland. Warsaw is one of the first public airports in Europe to view this ‘dream’ plane after its presentation at the Paris air show at Le Bourget,” says Marcin Piróg, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. “We are proud to be able to show this modern plane to our guests, the media and our employees. We are also waiting impatiently for next year when our passengers will be able discover the unique qualities of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the excellent service offered by LOT,” he adds.

The Dreamliner is the most innovative long-range passenger plane there is. It is more fuel-efficient than other planes of this type, considerably reducing pollution of the environment. It also has a noise reduction system in the passenger cabin, larger windows and larger hand luggage compartments.

Polish Airlines LOT will be the first carrier in Europe to acquire the Boeing 787. The first delivery is expected in the second quarter of 2012. Altogether, LOT has ordered eight planes of this type.

Already in 2007, Boeing acknowledged that Chopin Airport was among the best prepared airports in the world to handle Dreamliners
