Ground Operators Increased Demand on Sanitation and Other Advanced Technologies

Over the past few months, IATA has issued a number of guidelines for aviation stakeholders. One of which, the ground handlers that serves as the backbones of the industry. Various recommendations on passenger check in, transfer, gate handling, baggage and cargo handling, ramp handling, ULD handling, aircraft cleaning as well as catering handling has been issued to guide operators and ground handling providers in carrying out their operation during and after the pandemic.
INCREASED DEMAND TO EQUIP GSE WITH STERILIZING DEVICES AND OTHER ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES
During this global disruption, ground handlers are required to rethink beyond their normal business and operational processes. There would be an increased demand to equip Ground Support Equipment (GSE) with sterilizing devices and other advanced technologies that will help to restore air travellers confidence.
