MRO Central Asia Conference Uzbekistan 2026

The Republic of Uzbekistan has announced significant steps toward the modernization of its civil aviation sector, as set forth by the recent Presidential Decree on Airport Development and Infrastructure Enhancement. These initiatives coincide with preparations for the forthcoming MRO Central Asia Conference Uzbekistan 2026, a key international event dedicated to advancing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in the region.

Under the decree, the Presidential Administration will appoint new executive management for the national airport network and oversee the development of a comprehensive business plan for the modernization and expansion of airport operations by April 1, 2026. The plan foresees a 2.3-fold increase in flight frequency, the attraction of up to 25 international carriers, and the implementation of advanced logistical and operational processes designed to elevate Uzbekistan’s position within the global aviation market.

A central component of the decree is the construction of an integrated MRO and aircraft painting center by 2028, which will establish Uzbekistan as a leading maintenance and engineering hub in Central Asia. Furthermore, the planned development of a TIR logistics park adjacent to the airport will create an intermodal transportation node, facilitating more efficient cargo handling and enhancing regional trade connectivity.

The MRO Central Asia Conference Uzbekistan 2026 will serve as an important professional platform to present these strategic projects, foster international cooperation, and attract investment into Uzbekistan’s rapidly expanding aviation sector. The conference aims to unite regional authorities, global MRO providers, financial institutions, and airline representatives in a dialogue on best practices, innovation, and sustainable industry development.
