“Oman Airports” signs a memorandum of understanding with Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company to develop Kilimanjaro International Airport

In order to strengthen the historical relations of cooperation, and in support of the joint economic prosperity between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania, “Oman Airports” signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tanzanian Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company to develop the general VIP passenger terminal at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Kilimanjaro region owned by the government of the Republic of Tanzania, in order to benefit from the experience of Oman Airports’ successful experience in airport management and VIP services.

 The memorandum of understanding was signed by Abdul Nasser Abdullah Al Yamani – Vice President of business Developmentrepresenting Oman Airports, and Mrs. Christine Mwakatobe representing Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company (KADCO) and stipulates that Oman Airports will undertake the development of the General Terminal for VVIP and Hanger Facility at Kilimanjaro International Airport, the development of a five-star hotel at Kilimanjaro International Airport for passengers, cabin crew and others, the development of a business complex/shopping mall at Kilimanjaro International Airport and any other business opportunities that may be agreed upon mutually between the parties.

This partnership is represented in developing the facilities referred to in the text of the memorandum to ensure the provision of high-standard services in the building as part of efforts to raise the revenues for both the Tanzanian government that owns the airport and Oman Airports.Oman Airports own a high reputation in managing airports, developing and supporting its network of operational lines, which earned it international awards and recognitions for the quality of services across its airports, which represent a strategic confluence with regional markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
