SSP America Opens Colorado Craft at Colorado Springs Airport, Delivering a Distinctly Local Experience

SSP America, a division of SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, today announced the opening of Colorado Craft at Colorado Springs Airport (COS), bringing a distinctly local concept to the terminal. Located post-security, Colorado Craft offers travelers a welcoming, design-forward space centered on Colorado beverages, regional identity and a relaxed sense of place before takeoff.

Developed in partnership with the Colorado Craft team, the new airport location introduces passengers to a brand rooted in Colorado Springs and inspired by the makers, brewers, distillers and community spirit that define the region. The concept’s arrival at COS reflects the airport’s continued commitment to enhancing the passenger experience with offerings that feel authentically connected to the local community.

“Colorado Craft reflects what we strive to offer at the Colorado Springs Airport — an experience that feels welcoming, local and uniquely connected to our community,” Alex Kovacs, director of aviation at the Colorado Springs Airport, said. “We are proud to partner with SSP America and the Colorado Craft team to bring travelers a space that highlights authentic flavors of Colorado Springs.

“This new addition enhances our terminal in a way that feels true to our region and supports our commitment to providing a hassle-free, enjoyable travel experience. We’re excited for passengers to enjoy it as we continue delivering an easy and comfortable way to travel through COS.”

At the heart of Colorado Craft is a bar program designed to showcase the best of the state. The current beverage menu highlights a broad selection of Colorado draft beers, local bottles and cans, Colorado wines, signature cocktails and zero-proof options, giving travelers a strong and immediate taste of the region through the glass.

The space itself has been designed to feel warm, elevated and unmistakably Colorado, creating an environment that invites passengers to settle in, enjoy a drink and experience a sense of place that goes beyond the expected airport stop.

“Colorado Craft is exactly the kind of brand we love bringing into airports because it offers travelers something they can’t get just anywhere,” said Kyle Phillips, vice president, concepts and development, SSP America. “This concept is deeply rooted in Colorado Springs and gives passengers an immediate connection to the region through its atmosphere, its identity and an experience that feels distinctly local. We are proud to partner with Colorado Springs Airport and the Colorado Craft team to create a space that feels local, memorable and genuinely reflective of this community.”

Founded in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado Craft has built its reputation on celebrating the people and products that define the local landscape. At COS, that spirit comes to life in a concept that puts Colorado-made beverages and regional character front and center, offering travelers a first or last impression of the city that feels grounded, welcoming and true to place.

“At Colorado Craft, being local isn’t a tagline — it’s who we are,” said Dylan Currier, owner, Colorado Craft. “We’re owners and operators who live, work, play and raise our families here in Colorado Springs, and we truly love being part of this community. That’s why we’re committed to supporting it — by partnering with local brewers, distillers and vendors, and creating a space that reflects the spirit of the region. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with SSP America to bring that experience to Colorado Springs Airport. Our goal is to give travelers an authentic taste of Colorado through a program that highlights the best our state has to offer. Whether you’re arriving or departing, we hope to provide a memorable first or last impression of Colorado Springs — and we invite guests to visit us downtown to experience everything Colorado Craft has to offer.”

At COS, Colorado Craft gives passengers a true sense of arrival. Through local beverages, thoughtful design and a setting that feels rooted in Colorado Springs, the concept brings community character into the terminal in a way that feels natural, welcoming and distinctly local.
