Video: Outer shell complete at Lyon Airport

After nearly 18 months of construction work, the structural shell and roof of the new Terminal 1 (T1) building at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport in France has been completed. Work has now turned to the internal partitions of the three-story complex.

The new terminal will cover a surface area of approximately 700,000ft² and will enable the airport to increase its annual passenger capacity from 10 million to 15 million by 2020. The T1 extension has been designed by British architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and is being built by French-based GFC Construction, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction.
