Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has celebrated the grand opening of Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), marking the group’s dual-lounge launch in Thailand.
The new facilities are located airside on the third floor of Concourse G, near Gate G1, and provide two distinct passenger experiences across a combined 790 square metres.
Plaza Premium First covers 212 square metres and can accommodate more than 50 guests. The lounge features private lounge bays, shower suites and dedicated concierge services, alongside an à la carte dining concept offering refined Thai dishes including Aep Pla, Tom Kha Gai and Northern-style Khao Soi.
Guests can also use the Aero Bar, which serves spirits, wine and cocktails including the Tom Yum-inspired Siamese Martini.
Plaza Premium Lounge covers 578 square metres and can accommodate up to 98 guests. Facilities include a live kitchen and buffet serving freshly prepared Thai dishes such as Som Tam, Gai Ping skewers and Luk Chup sweets. The lounge also provides high-speed Wi-Fi, charging stations, shower suites, a multi-faith room and family facilities.
Both lounges incorporate works by contemporary Thai artists, with the design featuring custom silk embroidery, glass mosaics, plant-dyed textiles and denim-crafted cityscapes inspired by Thailand’s cultural heritage.
The opening ceremony was attended by Plaza Premium Group representatives, Airports of Thailand representatives and other industry stakeholders.
According to PPG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport handled 62.9 million passengers in 2025, with international traffic accounting for more than 80% of total passenger volume. Airports of Thailand is also progressing with infrastructure expansion intended to increase the airport’s annual capacity from 65 million to 80 million passengers by 2030.
Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group, said: “Thailand remains one of Southeast Asia’s primary aviation and tourism gateways, making Suvarnabhumi Airport a natural home for our flagship dual-lounge launch. Bringing this concept to Bangkok allows us to offer travellers a distinct sense of place through authentic Thai flavours and art, while setting a new regional standard for choice, flexibility, and high-quality hospitality.”
Kittipong Kittikachorn, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the partnership with Plaza Premium Group would provide additional facilities for passengers travelling through Thailand.
Both lounges are available to international passengers and those transferring flights, regardless of airline or class of service. Passengers can access the lounges without a prior reservation or book in advance through Plaza Premium Lounge.
Multi-use Lounge Passes are also available, starting at US$69.
The opening strengthens Plaza Premium Group’s presence across international aviation hubs and follows the company’s 28-year history in airport hospitality. The group has also received recognition from Skytrax at the World Airline Awards for ten consecutive years.
