Airport News
The Philippines government is considering developing new airports in two of the country's increasingly popular tourist areas, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The report said the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) has brought in consultants to conduct a feasibility study for a new airport in Camarines Sur in Bocol.
The lone airport in Camarines Sur, the fastest growing tourist destination in the country, is currently located at Pili town, a few miles away from Naga City.
It quoted the DoTC as saying it was also looking for a separate consultant to conduct a master plan study for at Calabayog, the biggest city on Samar Island in terms of population.
