During the first eight months of 2013, Russia’s Novosibirsk International Airport served 2,466,900 passengers, representing a 14.1% increased compared to the same period in 2012.
Traffic on domestic routes reached 1,449,675 passengers, up 7.1%, while the airport saw 25.8% growth in international passengers, handling 1,017,225.
In August alone, passenger traffic increased 16% year-on-year to 427,304 passengers. Of these, 260,637 passengers were domestic (+13.6%) and 166,677 were international (+20.1%).
The year-to-date has seen 36,346 ATMs, representing 8.2% growth, of which 5,154 were in August – 14.6% higher than in August 2012.
The airport also recorded 19,417 tons of cargo and mail handled so far this year (+7%), including 2,537 tons in August only – a 1% year-on-year increase.
