Inauguration of the first renovated section of Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc airport terminal

VINCI Airports and the Haute-Savoie Department, owner of the airport, have inaugurated the first phase of the renovation of Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc airport’s terminal. This project, representing an investment of €2.5 million, is part of a multi-year investment plan co-financed with the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council. It marks the beginning of a transformation aimed at making the terminal more energy-efficient while offering an improved level of service for passengers, crews and users.

On Monday, June 23, Martial Saddier, President of the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council, Valérie Vesque-Jeancard, Deputy CEO of VINCI Airports for France, and Aurélien Donche, CEO of Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc airport, inaugurated the renovation of the first section of the terminal.

The terminal refurbishment works at the airport began in July 2024 and will be completed in early 2026. Today’s inauguration marks a mid-project milestone, covering the first half of the building and offering a clear preview of what the terminal will look like once the renovation is complete. The terminal’s transformation is the central component of the airport’s investment program. This €2.5 million renovation, co-financed by VINCI Airports and the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council, includes:

  • Improving the building’s energy performance with a 95% reduction in CO2 emissions.
  • Enhancing the quality of service through more functional and modern indoor spaces: passengers will benefit from three lounges instead of just one previously, crews will have a dedicated lounge, and staff areas will be reorganized and modernized.
  • Improving terminal access and interior layouts to make them fully accessible to persons with reduced mobility.

The inauguration of the first renovated section of the terminal is a key milestone in our project for Annecy airport: enhancing service quality and driving the airport’s environmental transition. We are committed to putting our airport management expertise at the service of the region and its visibility, alongside the Haute-Savoie Department, with whom we share the same ambition for the airport’s future, said Valérie Vesque-Jeancard, Deputy CEO of VINCI Airports for France.
