Munich Airport begins second round of crowdsourcing platform
Munich Airport in Germany is inviting passengers and visitors to take part in the second round of its InnovationPilot crowdsourcing platform, which was launched in June 2016, by offering input and suggestions on specific airport issues.
Participants are invited to play an active role in the design and implementation of airport projects and events by contributing their requests and proposals. All postings are open to comments, discussion and improvements by the online community. This time round, the platform has posed the question, “who likes waiting?”
The Terminal 2 operating company, a joint subsidiary of Munich Airport and airline operator Lufthansa, is hoping to receive a wealth of innovative ideas between now and the end of October 2016 on how to improve the experience for passengers waiting at security checkpoints, the gates and baggage pick-up.
Jörg Ebbighausen, head of corporate development at Munich Airport, said, “Since the kick-off of our InnovationPilot crowdsourcing platform in June, we’ve been delighted with the many valuable ideas from our community and the very positive response. This has us feeling even more excited to see how many creative ideas we will receive for our ‘Who likes waiting?’ campaign.”
