Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport is looking forward to improvements in its baggage handling, following the outsourcing of operations in Terminal D earlier this year.
The airport took the decision to outsource to Vanderlande Industries in October.
For the last two years, the company has also been responsible for maintenance on baggage handling and screening systems in Terminal D.
Igor Fruslov, deputy head of operations at Sheremetyevo, said: “We are very satisfied with the professional and efficient way Vanderlande is executing operations already and look forward to the improvements in baggage handling that will be achieved with this synergy.”
Baggage numbers have risen 20% at the airport in recent years.
