Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG) in Nanjing, China capital of Jiangsu province, has selected Intersystems, which designs, develops and installs airport information management systems, to integrate a Flight Information Display System (FIDS) into their new terminal.

As part of the contract over 500 display screens will be fitted at NKG and operated by Intersystems RapidFIDS, a flight information display system solution. The screens will provide passengers with complete real-time flight data in multiple languages.

Simon Fu, Intersystems Asia, operations manager, said, “The project is on track. It's anticipated that the system will be ready for testing by the end of the month.”

Nanjing is the third airport project Intersystems has undertaken in China this year.

Bruce Allen, CEO of Intersystems said, “We've only just begun our journey in China. Our recently approved business status for Intersystems China Limited will only broaden our ability to service the market and is perfectly timed to drive further growth.”

Intersystems delivery of RapidFIDS at NKG is projected to be completed by the end of 2013, with the airport’s new terminal set to open in mid 2014.
