American Express unveils latest Centurion Lounge
American Express opened The Centurion Lounge, its 11th such facility, at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Monday, February 24, 2020.
At more than 13,000ft2 (1,207m2), the new offering is one of the largest Centurion Lounges to date, and will welcome Platinum Card, Centurion and Delta Reserve Card members and their guests.
Located post-security, between Concourses D and E on the top floor of The Plaza, the new lounge will feature a menu designed by chef Joe Kindred. Dishes, inspired by Kindred’s memories of growing up in North Carolina, include buttermilk fried chicken, grilled cauliflower steak topped with a pistou sauce, and country ham biscuits spread with a red-eye sorghum butter.
Travelers using the lounge will also have access to: a complimentary full bar; shower suites; family rooms; dedicated workspaces; high-speed wi-fi; and private phone areas.
