From Europe to Africa, VINCI Airports strengthens its network connectivity

The development of regional connectivity lies at the heart of VINCI Airports’ value creation strategy. In collaboration with more than 300 airlines worldwide, VINCI Airports promotes a diversity of operators and destinations, bringing regions closer together and enhancing their attractiveness.

With the launch of five new routes connecting France, Portugal, Hungary, and Cabo Verde, intra-network exchanges are intensifying, multiplying opportunities for travel and discovery.

New European connection: Budapest-Nantes

Budapest Airport in Hungary and Nantes Atlantique Airport in France, both members of the VINCI Airports network, are now connected by a direct flight operated twice a week by easyJet.

This new route not only facilitates tourism but also strengthens economic exchanges between Western and Central Europe. More than just a new service, it illustrates VINCI Airports’ strategy to enhance synergies among its European airports and provide smoother travel connections, while supporting regional development.

New routes to the Cabo Verde islands

This season, Cabo Verde airports are becoming more accessible, with several new intra-network routes allowing travellers to reach the archipelago directly from Europe, while supporting local tourism development.

In Praia, the international airport welcomed its first Transavia flight from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, marking a new milestone in connectivity between France and the island.

In Boa Vista, the arrival of easyJet flights from Lisbon and Porto strengthens the links between Portuguese airports and the Cabo Verde islands. Since joining the VINCI Airports network in 2023, these airports have recorded record traffic levels in 2024, driven by the arrival of new airlines and increased flight frequencies.

With these five new routes: Lyon-Praia, Lisbon-Boa Vista, Porto-Boa Vista, Nantes-Budapest and Nantes-Sal, VINCI Airports is consolidating its position as the world’s leading private airport operator, while strengthening exchanges within its network between Europe and Africa. These new connections reflect a shared ambition: to bring regions closer together, support tourism and offer travellers ever more opportunities for discovery.
