From Monterrey to Bogotá: Monterrey Airport extends its connectivity to South America.
OMA Monterrey Airport, which has recently joined the VINCI Airports network, is pleased to announce the opening of the new route that will directly connect Monterrey with Bogotá, in collaboration with Viva Aerobus and the Ministry of Tourism of Nuevo León, operated by Viva Aerobus. This is an important score in the air connectivity of Nuevo León as it establishes a direct connection to South America for the first time.
This flight will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, equipped to provide comfort and safety to travelers. With a capacity of 186 passengers, Viva Aerobus planes will ensure a pleasant flight experience.
Monterrey International Airport, as a hub in northern Mexico, aims to consolidate opportunities that boost both tourism and business flights. The launch of this route is a clear sign of the work being done to develop direct flights from Monterrey to key destinations outside the country.
The new Monterrey-Bogotá route expands opportunities for those wishing to explore the cultural, natural, and business charms of Colombia.
This opening represents a significant advance in the connectivity network from Monterrey, reinforcing the commitment of OMA and VINCI Airports to provide greater air mobility, fostering stronger connections between Mexico and Latin America.
“We are dedicated to diversify our network to ensure an exceptional travel experience for our passengers. Through fruitful partnerships with authorities and airlines, we will actively expand our reach and stimulate economic growth in the region” said Ricardo Dueñas, CEO of OMA.
