Anapa Airport Terminal

Russian airport operator Basel Aero has begun constructing a new terminal at Anapa International Airport in the Krasnodar region of Russia.

The new 130,000ft² terminal will be built at a cost of approximately US$19m and is scheduled for completion in late 2016. The facility will be capable of handling 600 passengers per hour and will boast the latest in passenger processing and energy efficient technologies. Other facilities will include a business lounge and a children’s playground.

Leonid Sergeyev, CEO of Basel Aero, said, “The economic and political downturn in Russia sparked a surge in domestic travel in the airports operated by Basel Aero. Along with the modernization of the existing terminal, we’ve decided to build a new one to cater to the needs of the increasing number of tourists visiting Anapa.”
